Titan Baseball has built a solid program through the hard work and dedication of its players, parents, community and parents. Our beautiful complex, top-rate uniforms, pitching machines, protective screens, custom field materials (yes we buy our own dirt), mowers, the Gator, field tools, practice mounds, the press box, bullpens, dugouts (plus JV), concession stand, sound system, our “clubby” and other amenities is a result of this vital and ongoing fundraising.
It is time to gather sponsors for the annual GSL Baseball Program. Your task is to gather “sponsors” that will grant money to the University High School Baseball Program in their name. These folks will be listed underneath your name in the 2011 GSL Baseball Program. We are the only program in town that lists every one of our players in the annual GSL Baseball program.
Have pride in this task and be a dedicated “total” Titan ball player. Everything you earn comes back to you in one form or another. All the extra things that you enjoy in our program, including clothing items we get for you come as a result of this yearly activity.
Freshmen and J.V. players are expected to raise $150 each. Varsity players will raise $250. A great way to accomplish this task is to ask family friends for a $10/$15/$25 donation to sponsor you! What we don’t want is for you to ask your parents for a $150/$250 check!! This shouldn’t be their responsibility! It is yours! When you turn in the money, give us the names of your sponsors (with correct spelling). This list must be typed with your name at the top. No exceptions!
Another great way to raise funds is to get local companies to purchase banners. New banners cost $350 and are displayed annually in our stadium from March to November. You have been given several “Banner Contracts”. Each year after their initial purchase, it is $125 to put them up again. All you have to do is go collect the annual registration fee and have it count towards your fundraising! Checks must be made out to Titan Baseball.
Turn in all donations to the business office no later than Monday, March 14tth , then give your receipts to Coach Bartlett in room A-102 by 9:00 A.M that morning. Donations can be turned in earlier than this, which we prefer. Each player bringing in a minimum of $150 ($250 for varsity) will receive new Titan Gear! If you bring in a sign, it will count as $200 toward your fundraising total. If you gather a banner renewal fee, it will count as $125 toward your total.
Additionally, the freshman and J.V. player who raises the most money will gain additional Titan gear from Coach Sutherland! You will be the envy of your team! Also, the team raising the most money (and have every member bring in at least $150) will receive a Catered Bucks Pizza Party!!
